Competency-Based Education (CBE)
Data is critical. Credentialate connects evidence of competence or mastery with digital recognition. We make existing skills and competencies digitally visible and portable
Think big, start small, act fast
We help you get started on your CBE journey by integrating with your existing systems and connecting your skills and competency data, making them visible to all the learning community.
We strongly believe the focus should be on interoperability and standards – something our platforms are natively built on.
If you want to start small and iterate, you’ll want to start with us. We have the knowledge, experience and technology to help you get underway and deliver at scale in a sustainable way.
Recognise all learning
We feel strongly that the way forward for a more equitable future for all is the visibility and validation of skills.
All learning counts – whether it occurs in a classroom, a sports field, a community group or other life experience. We are more than just a score or a grade. It’s important to validate skills, recognise achievements and be able to show proof.
We provide the learner with broader and deeper evidence of their skills. This is especially useful when recognising cross-curriculum skills, or durable skills, which are typically developed across multiple areas of study.
Manage complex awarding criteria
Credentialate is uniquely flexible when it comes to digital recognition, and is capable of handling complex digital awarding scenarios.
These include multiple badge agents, multiple evidence sources, one or more levels of skill recognition and credential attainment and non-linear pathways.
Make skill progression visible
Skills are not static – they’re dynamic. Credentialate digitally recognises the progression of a skill, from novice to expert.
Providers can issue a dynamic, Provisional Evidence Record, recognising progression of skill attainment over a period of time. Learners receive a digital credential upon completion.
As well as receiving timely feedback and gaining confidence as they progress, they can share show proof of their learning throughout, and not just at the end, of their studies.
Increase learner confidence in expressing their skills
Credentialate has been proven to increase learner confidence in expressing their skills in 76% of learners, in an international efficacy study.
